Training: AI, Next Gen Graph, and Big Data for LEF and Intel Agencies

The challenge currently faced by law enforcement agencies and analytical centres around the world is how to effectively analyse terabytes of data obtained as part of investigations or from open sources, and if artificial intelligence can be used for this purpose. These issues were discussed by the participants of the international specialized training on October 17-19 organized by the CBA as part of a project co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.

The training was attended by representatives of the CBA and project partners from Internal Security Agency, Counterintelligence Service, Ministry of Finance, National Prosecutor's Office, NABU and invited guests from Europol, United Nations and Polish Police. The invitation was also accepted by independent experts who shared their know-how and experience from the commercial market, which effectively supports services and international organizations such as the UN in the efficient analysis of data, e.g. during a military conflict in order to collect evidence documenting war crimes.

The training was carried out as part of the project "Strengthening the competences of law enforcement agencies and the justice system in the area of criminal and strategic analyses, supporting the process of recognizing, combating and preventing corruption and economic crime." The project is financed in the PA20 program area "International police cooperation and combating crime" in the "Internal Affairs" Program, which is at the disposal of the Minister of Interior and Administration. The total value of the project is EUR 545,292.00, i.e. PLN 2,345,411.00.
