Meeting of the management of the CBA with the Lebanese General Directorate of State Security

On 6 August 2019 in the headquarters of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau took place a visit of the delegation of the Lebanese General Directorate of State Security headed by general Tony Saliba.

The aim of the meeting with the management of the CBA was to provide the Lebanese party with guidelines and best practices on preventing and combating corruption, as well as to share experiences of both parties.

During the meeting, the Head of the CBA - Ernest Bejda together with the Deputy Head of the CBA - Grzegorz Ocieczek (assistant professor of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw) have presented the tasks and competences of the Bureau, results of its activity, as well as introduced the most important cases, which the Bureau currently deals with. Issues related to system mechanisms for preventing corruption were also raised. The Heads of both institutions expressed their willingness to establish closer cooperation between the services.
