Multi-million extortions from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP). Two persons detained

Two persons detained by the CBA were charged, among others, with extortion of 10 million zlotys from PARP.

The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Gdańsk have detained two persons who are charged with extortion of 10 million zlotys from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development in Warsaw. The investigators searched the places of residence of the detainees, as well as corporate documentation storage space.

One of the suspects is a president of a company, who signed an agreement with PARP for co-financing the purchase of real estate from an EU fund under the Operational Programme Innovative Economy in the amount of almost 39 million zlotys. The second one is her procurator.

Both detainees are suspected of extorting 10 million zlotys in subsidies and leading PARP to an unfavourable disposition of property and attempts to extort another 28 million zlotys.

The persons detained by the CBA were charged in the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin.
