Detained director of the kłodawskie water-works
The Regional Office of the CBA in Poznań, based on the collected own materials, conducts investigations into the violation of duties and non-performance of duties by the director and employees of the Water Supply and Sewerage Plant in Kłodawa, and actions to the detriment of public and private interest. The investigation is supervised by the District Prosecutor's Office in Konin.
The findings of the CBA indicate, that the director of the Water Supply and Sewerage Plant in Kłodawa took money for himself for the construction of water and sewage connections to private homes. He carried out this business using the position and knowledge of persons applying for the construction of water and sewage connections. The connecting works were carried out using the equipment and employees of Plant headed by him. Invoices were not issued or they were issued to a company registered to his wife. In the course of the investigation, nearly 70 aggrieved parties have been identified, from whom he demanded from 1000 to over 10,000 zł for the execution of connections to their property.
The CBA agents from Poznań who carried out the case detained the director and two employees of the Sewerage and Water Supply Plant in Kłodawa. The detainees were charged in the prosecutor's office in Konin.
The CBA officers also established that in the course of the investigation itself, the director of ZWiK (the Plant) obstructed the activities carried out by the CBA, budging witnesses to give false testimonies.
The prosecutor will decide on the further course of the proceeding and preventive measures.
