Celebrations of the 20th Anniversary of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau
On June 10 2026, the Central Anticorruption Bureau held its official celebration at the Lech Kaczyński Presidential Training and Conference Center in Lucień. The event provided a unique opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Bureau's establishment, summarize its activities to date, and award state decorations to its officers and employees.
The ceremony was attended by numerous distinguished guests. Representing the Coordinator of Special Services was Brigadier General Radosław Kujawa, Deputy Head of the Bureau and Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The National Security Bureau (BBN) was represented by Reserve Brigadier General Andrzej Kowalski, Deputy Head of the BBN, while the prosecution service was represented by Dariusz Korneluk, First Deputy Prosecutor General and National Prosecutor. The celebrations were also attended by the heads of other special and uniformed services, invited guests, as well as a large number of CBA officers and employees.
Speech by the Head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau
In his speech, the Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau emphasized that the twenty-year history of the CBA reflects the dynamic development of a service that has become a permanent and important element of the national security system. Over the years, the Bureau has gained valuable experience and developed effective methods of combating corruption. He also stressed that a modern public service must be founded on enduring values such as integrity, professionalism, and mutual respect, while at the same time fostering opportunities for development, continuous improvement, and openness to an evolving reality.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to all officers and employees for their daily commitment, dedication, and readiness to act regardless of time or circumstances. He noted that although the results of the Bureau’s work are not always immediately visible, they contribute every day to safeguarding the economic interests of the State.
Words of Appreciation and State Decorations
During the ceremony, Brigadier General Radosław Kujawa and National Prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk conveyed their appreciation to CBA employees for their dedicated service. They wished them continued professional satisfaction, perseverance in fulfilling their duties, and further achievements that strengthen public trust in state institutions.
A key element of the anniversary celebrations was the presentation of Medals for Long Service, awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland. On behalf of the President, the decorations for exemplary, diligent, and conscientious performance of duties were presented by Reserve Brigadier General Andrzej Kowalski. The Deputy Head of the National Security Bureau also read the official letter from the President of the Republic of Poland addressed to the organizers and participants of the CBA Day celebrations.
Solemn Holy Mass
The day before, on 9 June 2026, a solemn Holy Mass was celebrated at the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Warsaw for the intentions of CBA officers and employees. The service was attended by numerous current and former officers and employees of the Bureau.
