Control at Silesian Centre for Entrepreneurship completed

The Silesian Centre for Entrepreneurship has called on one of the beneficiaries of financial support to return over PLN 157,000. It is a result of the inspection carried out by the CBA officers.

The officers of the Control Proceedings Division of the CBA Regional Office in Katowice have inspected the decision-making process and its execution by the Silesian Centre for Entrepreneurship. The control covered the verification of granting financial support to a Silesian company from the funds of the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship for the years 2014-2020. The audit also verified the monitoring of the projects in the period of their sustainability, i.e. the time in which the effects of the project should be preserved in an unchanged form. The activities were conducted from 7 June 2021 to 2 November 2021.

As a result of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau control, the Silesian Centre for Entrepreneurship initiated verifying activities concerning one of the beneficiaries of the Regional Operational Programme for the Śląskie Voivodeship. The inspectors established that one of the beneficiaries had submitted documents that did not demonstrate the actual influence of partner and related entities on the loss of its status of a small or medium entrepreneur (having such status was a necessary prerequisite for obtaining subsidies).

The activities resulted in calling the beneficiary to return the whole amount of subsidy of over PLN 157,000.
