Joint activities of CBA and the Internal Security Agency (ABW) in the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin Six persons detained
The Officers of the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw and the Internal Security Agency have detained 6 persons suspected of corruption offences connected with the functioning of the West Pomeranian Regional Branch of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture in Szczecin. The activities were conducted in connection with an investigation carried out under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin.
Among the detained persons is the acting Director, until 2016, of the West Pomeranian Regional Branch of the ARiMR in Szczecin. The evidence gathered in the case made it possible to present the detainees with charges - including paid protection and acceptance of personal advantage in exchange for conduct constituting a breach of the law.
At the same time, necessary activities were carried out, among others in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the Central Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture and in the West Pomeranian Regional Branch of the ARMiR in Szczecin.
The prosecutor applied non-custodial preventive measures against the detainees. By court decision, the main suspect has been remanded in custody.
