The CBA Training and Conference Centre in Lucień has been named after Polish President Lech Kaczyński

The CBA Training and Conference Centre in Lucień has been named after Polish President Lech Kaczyński. President Andrzej Duda and his wife, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, graced the exceptional ceremony with their presence. Heads and representatives of special services were among those who attended the ceremony.

The event was not by chance. The year 2021 is a special time for the officers and employees of the CBA, as it marks the 15th anniversary of the Bureau's establishment. This year is also the 15th anniversary of the inauguration of a series of 'Lucień seminars', whose originator and host was President Lech Kaczyński, and the 5th anniversary of the placement of a memorial plaque in Lucien, dedicated to Lech Kaczyński.

The Lucień meetings formed part of Poland's recent intellectual history. Philosophers, historians, lawyers, sociologists, and journalists participated in the debates on a regular basis from 2006 to 2009. They were not only about Polish affairs and politics, but also about the topics and phenomena that shape the modern globe.

The Head of the CBA, Andrzej Stróżny, greeted the visitors to the ceremony, emphasizing in his address that Lucień - originally a presidential centre, now a CBA centre - is a mute witness to history on the one hand, and a location where the CBA officers and employees gain and enhance their skills, on the other. He noted that a supra-individual idea, which is conscientious work for the sake of the Homeland, unifies the CBA officers and employees. With his whole devotion to the Polish state and his entire life, Lech Kaczyński set an example of such an approach.

President Andrzej Duda expressed his thanks in his remarks for the fact that the Centre's name and patronage will eternally remind us of the late President Lech Kaczyński. He emphasised that the CBA was a service of particular importance to President Lech Kaczyński. He was a supporter of a fair and orderly state. He would be glad that this service now had its centre here.

The Presidential Couple and the Head of the CBA unveiled the inscription commemorating the naming of the centre. Afterwards, the President was presented with the training facilities and the equipment used by the officers. The wife of the President also met the officers and employees of the CBA. The gathered guests saw an exhibition of archival photographs from the period of the Lucień seminars.
