Ecological disaster in "Czajka" – CBA at the Municipal Office of the Capital City of Warsaw
10 September 2020. The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau has commenced an inspection at the Municipal Office of the Capital City of Warsaw concerning the supervision of the Warsaw authorities over the operation of the channelling of wastewater through the Vistula River to the "Czajka” Sewage Treatment Plant.
The activities of the Bureau are related to this year's accident. In particular, the inspectors will look at what remedial action has been taken by the authorities of the capital in order to avoid a renewed ecological disaster after the breakdown of the collectors at the "Czajka” Warsaw Sewage Treatment Plant last August.
