Former President of Chemical Plants in Police charged

Another person detained by the CBA due to their acting to the detriment of the Chemical Plants in Police.

The CBA officers of the Regional Office in Szczecin detained a former President of the Chemical Plants in Police. The man was detained after his arrival from abroad. The activities were related to a multi-pronged investigation conducted by the CBA under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin. The proceedings involve an investment decision on the purchase of a company that was to exploit an open-cast phosphate mine in Senegal, causing a huge property damage incurred by the Chemical Plants in Police, criminal offences against essential economic interest of the State, and obstruction of criminal proceedings.

The former president of the Chemical Plants in Police was presented with charges in the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, including a large-scale fraud and mismanagement, in connection with the purchase of shares in the Senegalese company of the African Investment Group.

The prosecutor applied non-custodial preventive measures against the suspect, in the form of a bail bond in the amount of PLN 2 million, a ban on contacting persons involved in the investigation, police probation, and a ban on leaving the country.
