Investments for bribes

Four individuals, including a civil servant from Wołomin, detained by the officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau.

For the past several months, the officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Warsaw have been carrying out an investigation into accepting financial advantages by and giving the advantages to civil servants of the District Governor’s Office in Wołomin. All findings indicate that the bribes have been given in return for issuing of beneficial administrative decisions on construction investments located on the territory of the Wołomin district. It is a new proceeding carried out with the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Warszawa-Praga. In connection with this case, the CBA officers have detained a civil servant of the District Governor’s Office in Wołomin and three entrepreneurs running their bussinesses in real property development in the vicinity of Warsaw. Moreover, the officers have secured the documents in the District Governor’s Office in Wołomin.

After the completion of the searches, the detainees will be taken to the Prosecutor’s Office where they will be presented with corruption charges.
