Next person detained for acting to the detriment of a commercial bank

Former loan director in a commercial bank has been detained by the CBA. This is a continuation of the case concerning causing damage of at least 50 million zlotys to the bank and attempts to obtain 23 million zlotys of undue VAT tax.

The officers of the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw have detained the former loan director of one of the banks in Warsaw. This is a continuation of the investigation of suspicion of causing property damage in the amount of at least 50 million zlotys to the bank's property in connection with granting a loan for the purchase of an exhibition center in Opole and acting to the detriment of the State Treasury by attempting to obtain 23 million of undue VAT tax.

The detainee will be transferred to the District Prosecutor’s Office Warszawa-Praga, where he will be charged. At the beginning of July, eight people were detained, including former presidents and board members, the director and employees of the bank, as well as former and current presidents of management boards of companies from the Mazowieckie voivodship. The investigation is in progress, further charges and detentions are not ruled out.
