CBA detained former management of Radio Olsztyn S.A.

The CBA officers from Białystok detained the former President of the Polish Radio - Regional Radio Station in Olsztyn, a former member of the Management Board and former member of the Supervisory Board of this radio and former President of the Board of the Municipal Buildings Facility I in Olsztyn. Allegations of corruption.

The investigation is conducted by the Regional Office of the Central Anticorruption Bureau in Białystok and Podlaski Terrain Division of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office. In this multithreaded investigation agents are looking into corrupt conduct of persons performing public functions in state and local government institutions on the territory of Olsztyn and surrounding area.

During the ongoing investigation today, agents from the Regional Office of the CBA in Białystok have detained four persons: the former President of the Polish Radio - Regional Radio Station in Olsztyn (2011 - 2016), former member of the Board of the Polish Radio - Regional Radio Station in Olsztyn, former member of the Supervisory Board of Radio Olsztyn S.A. as well as the former President of the Management Board of the Municipal Buildings in Olsztyn.

The detainees will be transported to the Podlaski Terrain Division of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office for the purpose of presenting charges and further activities.

At the same time, CBA officers are securing from institutions and places located in Olsztyn and its surrounding area, including from the Warmińsko-Mazurian Voivodship Office in Olsztyn, Olsztyn City Hall, documentation for the ongoing proceeding.

Earlier, in the course of the same investigation, five other persons were detained and arrested, including the Director of TVP SA Terrain Branch in Olsztyn, the Vogt of the Commune of Stawiguda, the chief specialist of state control from the Regional Office of the Supreme Chamber of Control in Olsztyn.
