The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) is a special service, created as a government administration office in order to combat corruption in public and economic life, particularly in public and local government institutions as well as to fight against activities detrimental to the State's economic interests.

It was established  by the Act of 9 June 2006 on the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, which entered into force on 24 July 2006.
