The evidence gathered in the course of investigation shows that in the years 2012-2015 on the premises of the air base numerous cases of abuse of power and other activities aiming to obtain financial advantages were undertaken by the personnel section soldiers. The case concerns the delivery of and payment for contracts for the soldiers of the National Reserve Forces. The investigators established that the officers who verified the accuracy and manner of spending money for the National Reserve Forces contracts suppressed the case by hiding and tampering of the inspection results as well as deflating the extent of irregularities. They also facilitated backward completion of documentation to legalise undue payments.

The CBA officers from the Regional Office in Poznań, together with the soldiers of the Military Gendarmerie, detained three officers and two other lower-ranking persons from the 33^th Transport Aviation Base in Powidz. In the course of the search of their apartments and service locations, documents and data carriers were secured.

The suspected persons face 31 allegations of abuse of their power, fraud, and bringing about detrimental disposal of the unit’s assets. The prosecution applied preventive measures in the form of suspension in the performance of their official duties, surveillance by the military supervisor, and property surety.

The case was accomplished jointly by the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Military Gendarmerie and the Military Counterintelligence Service under supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań Grunwald, Military Section - is in progress.
