Meeting of the Steering Group to the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI)

A CBA representative participated, as an observer, in the 21st Meeting of the (RAI).

Having been invited by RAI as a recognised leader in South-East Europe in the field of fight against and prevention of corruption as well as anti-corruption education, since May 2015 the CBA has participated as observer in RAI works.

RAI was originally established in Sarajevo in February 2000, as the  Stability Pact Anti-Corruption Initiative (SPA). It represents an intergovernmental organization addressing corruption as one of the most serious threats to the recovery and development of South-East Europe countries – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, and Serbia. It serves as a platform for coordination of anti-corruption efforts and policy-making for its member states and observers. The Secretariat of the Initiative was established in Sarajevo in 2004 and currently it is the only centre in South-East Europe dealing solely with anti-corruption issues.

The RAI Steering Group meeting adopted an Evaluation Report on implementation of the Action Plan for the years 2014-2015. The Group also discussed the Action Plan for the years 2016-2017.
