V International Anticorruption Conference

On 9th December 2014 at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister will be held the V International Anticorruption Conference.

The meeting was initiated by the Head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau Paweł Wojtunik. The co-organizers are the Ministry of the Interior and the Civil Service. The main theme of the conference is "National Anticorruption Strategies". After the inaugural session, which begins at 10.00, it is planned to continue the meeting in two successive groups in panels covering topics: "Strengthening preventive and educational activities in the area of corruption" and "Strengthening activities in the scope of fight against corruption".

December 9th is the International Anticorruption Day. It was established by the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly No. 58/4 of 31 October 2003 and it commemorates the ratification by the State Parties of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption which took place on 9 - 11 December 2003 in Merida, Mexico.
