Control of disbursement for PR, advertising, and consulting at LOTOS, Orlen Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ - Polish Armaments Group), KGHM, and Azoty companies

The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau instituted control procedures at the following companies fully owned by the State Treasury: LOTOS S.A. Group, PKN ORLEN S.A., KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., Azoty S.A. Group, and PGZ S.A. The control covers the period commencing from 1 December 2015.

The CBA is verifying the information about the irregularities which the Bureau has received in connection with the abovementioned companies.

The CBA officers will be examining contracts concluded and expenditure incurred on services related to public relations, marketing, advertising, consulting, and the like.

At the beginning of the procedure, the CBA wants to learn who - which contractor, what - the object of the contract, by what date, by whose order, and for what payment rendered the abovementioned services for the companies.

Apart from the contracts themselves, the implementation and accounting documentation will be analysed.

The same scope of control will cover all subsidiaries of the five companies , i.e. several dozen further companies.

Relevant documents, notifications submitted by the CBA regarding the intention to institute the control procedures, have been filed with the management boards of the companies.
