CBA supports the implementation of the EU project on the asset recovery system in Azerbaijan

In response to the request of the partner Lithuanian Anti-Corruption Service (Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania - STT), taking into account the importance of international cooperation in the area of combating crime and recovering property derived from criminal activities, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau provided support in the implementation of the project entitled "Support for the reform of the criminal asset recovery and management system in Azerbaijan."

On October 19-20, 2023, the CBA organized a study visit for representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, which was attended by, among others, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elmar Jamalov, as well as Deputy National Prosecutor Beata Marczak.

During the visit, lectures on experiences, strategies and practices in the field of asset recovery were given by experts from the National Prosecutor's Office, the Police Headquarters, the Chief Financial Information Inspectorate and the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Providing support for EU projects is an important element of international cooperation, allowing the transfer of best practices and the development of standards in the field of recovery of property of criminal origin. The support provided by the CBA is a proof of a lasting commitment to international cooperation, as well as joint action to increase the effectiveness of public services and institutions.
